From inspection to maintenance: our application method
Resindast Srl - Bergamo
Every quality resin flooring is born from a precise technical approach
Resindast manages the entire process in-house, from substrate assessment to finished floor maintenance, ensuring uniformity of execution, timelines, and consistent performance over time. We don't supply materials, but resin solutions calibrated to real-world operating conditions: mechanical loads, chemical attack, cleaning frequency, temperatures, and regulatory requirements (HACCP, ATEX, ESD, Clean Room). This approach allows us to guarantee long-lasting, safe, and easily repairable results, in any manufacturing sector.
Support analysis and technical inspection
Each intervention begins with a free inspection, during which the following are verified:
- the nature of the substrate: concrete, old resin, screed, tiles;
- the state of conservation: cracks, humidity, detachments, contaminations;
- environmental and usage conditions: loads, temperatures, traffic, washing frequency.
Using measurement tools and preliminary tests, our technicians collect all the parameters needed to size the correct resin cycle. The goal is not to adapt the flooring to the material, but to choose the system based on the actual stresses present.
Choosing the right cycle
Based on the collected data, Resindast defines the most suitable application cycle. Each system is calibrated in thickness, resin type, and finishing method to meet the specific needs of the context.
Examples of standard cycles:
| Cycle type | Average thickness | Main features | Sectors of use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Epoxy screed | 6–12 mm | Extremely high mechanical and chemical resistance. Structural body suitable for concentrated loads and impacts. | Mechanical, Automotive, Heavy Warehouse |
| Epoxy multilayer | 2–3 mm | Non-slip finish, excellent wear resistance and easy cleaning. | Food, Logistics, Laboratories |
| Polyurethane cement | 6–9 mm | Excellent resistance to thermal shock, chemical agents and high pressure washing. | Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical |
| Self-leveling epoxy | 2–3 mm | Smooth, hygienic, easily sanitized surface. | Pharmaceutical, Civil, Commercial |
| ESD / Conductive System | 2–3 mm | Checking electrical conductivity. | Elettronico, ATEX, Clean room |
All cycles are applied without reference to brands or manufacturers, but based on the required performance and the type of surface.
Mechanical preparation
Proper substrate preparation is crucial to the durability of the resin coating. Resindast uses specialized machinery, such as shot blasting machines, sanders, and industrial vacuum cleaners, to achieve a clean, rough, and contaminant-free surface. The main operations include:
- controlled shot blasting to remove old treatments and open the pores of the concrete;
- sanding and scarifying to eliminate loose parts or oily residues;
- continuous cycle suction to avoid dust during the priming phase.
This phase ensures optimal adhesion between the substrate and the resin cycle, reducing the risk of detachment or swelling over time.
Application of the coating
The application is performed exclusively by Resindast in-house personnel, trained and equipped to handle the various types of cycles. Each step, including primer, intermediate coats, and topcoat, is monitored in terms of thickness, curing times, and environmental conditions, with control sheets completed on site. During this phase, the technicians:
- apply the adhesion primer suitable for the type of substrate;
- they perform intermediate layers with mineral fillers, sands or calibrated quartz;
- complete with the surface finish (smooth, satin, non-slip or colored).
The result is a continuous, monolithic, high-performance surface, ready for rapid use, even in busy production environments.
Localized maintenance and repairs
Over time, Resindast provides assistance and scheduled maintenance, with targeted interventions to maintain the floor's performance. We perform:
- localized restoration of worn or damaged areas, without the need to redo the entire cycle;
- sealing of expansion joints or microcracks;
- periodic cleaning and maintenance according to the dedicated technical manual.
This allows the customer to keep the floor in perfect working order, reducing production downtime and extending the useful life of the covering.
